St. Croix Watershed Board to hold virtual public meeting December 2

The International St. Croix River Watershed Board invites you to attend a virtual meeting with the Board on December 2nd at 6pm Eastern (7pm Atlantic).

The IJC’s International St. Croix River Watershed Board invites you to attend a virtual meeting with the Board on Wednesday, December 2nd from 6pm-8pm Eastern (7pm-9pm Atlantic).

To participate in this virtual meeting please register using the link above by November 30th, 2020  (registration will remain open till meeting). Participation is free.

The meeting is an opportunity to learn about the Board and to ask questions or raise concerns about water resource issues in the St. Croix River.

The meeting will also include two informational presentations. The first presentation, provided by Bob Lent and Nick Stasulis from the U.S. Geological Survey, will look at water conditions this year and particularly the 2020 drought. Bill Appleby and Lucy Chisholm, from Environment and Climate Change Canada, will then provide a presentation on “Anticipated Impacts of Temperature, Sea Level Rise and Precipitation on the Gulf of Maine During the Next 30 Years”.


Please note that these meetings alternate each year between Maine and New Brunswick. This year the meeting was to take place in Calais, Maine, but due to restrictions to travel and public gatherings because of COVID-19, the meeting will be held virtually using the GoToWebinar online platform.
