Public Meeting on Flood Control and Water Supply - February 19

Date

The public is invited to attend an open house and presentation with members of the International Souris River Study Board (ISRSB) on February 19, 2019, from 7 to 9 pm, at the Victoria Inn in Brandon, Manitoba. Following a brief overview of the study and its progress, the public will have an opportunity to ask questions about the study.

The study board was established by the International Joint Commission in 2017 in response to a request by Canadian and United States governments to review the operating plan on water supply and flood control in the Souris River basin.

Public participation and feedback is an important consideration of the study board. Here are some ways to be involved:

  • Attend the public meeting—RSVPs are appreciated but not required. Register now.
  • Share your story of how water levels and flow affect you. Visit our web page  at ijc.org/en/srsb to find out how to help build an alternative. While there, you can subscribe to receive news and updates on the study!

The public meeting is being held in conjunction with the annual conference of the Assiniboine River Basin Initiative (ARBI), which takes place February 20-21 at the Victoria Inn. Click here for more information on the conference.
