Mike Goffin
Over the course of his more than thirty year career in the Public Service of Canada, Mr. Michael Goffin, the Regional Director General for Environment and Climate Change Canada in Ontario has been engaged in policy development and program delivery for environmental protection, wildlife management, meteorology, water and ecosystem management, intergovernmental affairs and community outreach and engagement.
For more than a decade, he has been responsible for leading Canada’s efforts to restore and protect the water quality and ecosystem health of the Great Lakes and also now serves as Canadian Co-chair of the International Rainy Lake of the Woods Watershed Board and as a member of the Aquatic Ecosystem Health Committee. Mr. Goffin received his undergraduate training in environmental studies from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Science degree in Geomorphology, also from the University of Toronto.
