Rainy – Namakan River Basin Conditions Notice

The Water Levels Committee (WLC) of the International Rainy – Lake of the Woods Watershed Board is monitoring recent wet weather and forecasts, noting rises in water levels of lakes and rivers in the watershed.

The Committee is in close contact with the companies that operate the dams under IJC orders at the outlets of Namakan and Rainy lakes. The Committee notes that the companies are adjusting outflow to keep water levels within the rule curve bands for both lakes in response to the rainfall.
