Objectives and Alert Levels in the Rainy-Lake of the Woods Basin

This project will develop water quality and aquatic ecosystem health Objectives and Alert Levels for the Rainy-Lake of the Woods Basin. Existing Objectives are outdated and it is not known if the Alert Level parameters are those that Rainy-Lake of the Woods Watershed Board (the Board) would deem important and of primary relevance today to the priority issues in the basin. In the absence of relevant Objectives or Alert Levels for the Board, monitoring and reporting on exceedances or trends in water quality and aquatic ecosystem health cannot be assessed in a consistent and systematic manner. This project is phased over two years.
