Protection of the Waters of the Great Lakes: 2015 Review of the Recommendations from the February 2000 Report

In February 2000, the International Joint Commission released a report entitled Protection of the Waters of the Great Lakes (PWGL). In the report, the IJC recommended that it conduct a review of the report’s recommendations after three years and at 10-year intervals thereafter. The Commission released its first review in 2004. In 2014, the Commission agreed to undertake its first 10-year review. This report deals primarily with issues related to Great Lakes water uses and diversions since the year 2000 report.
