The International Kootenay Lake Board of Control releases Vulnerability Assessment Summary

The Kootenay Lake Vulnerability Assessment, a study analyzing impacts of future hydrologic extremes on current operations, culminated in a report completed in June of 2025. This project lasted 18 months and included: summarizing the development and calibration of Lake Kootenay hydrological reservoir models, an analysis of the current and future Kootenay Lake levels, and the vulnerabilities related to the 1938 Order Rule Curve.
