Description
A Plan of Study in response to a request by Governments that the IJC review and make recommendations regarding a comprehensive study of measures to mitigate flooding and the impacts of flooding in the Richelieu River and Lake Champlain Basin.
Outcome
Established an International Lake Champlain-Richelieu River Plan of Study Workgroup (Workgroup) to develop a Plan of Study (POS) that would establish specifically what studies are necessary to allow an evaluation of the causes and impacts of the flooding that occurred during the spring and summer of 2011; and what studies are necessary to develop appropriate mitigation solutions and recommendations.
