A Reference to examine and report on methods to alleviate the adverse consequences of fluctuating water levels in the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River basin

Outcome

The IJC's final recommendations included a range of actions such as promoting shoreline management measures; a recommendation that regulation of Lakes Michigan, Huron and Erie not be considered; establishing a binational information center; and improving data gathering and analysis.
