Are You Concerned?

The International Joint Commission’s Health Professionals Task Force is holding a public meeting on June 14th, 2004, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Windsor, Ontario. The Task Force invites public comment on human health issues related to transboundary environmental concerns. The Task Force has been reviewing environment-related health issues along the Canada - U.S. border and seeks your input to contribute to its on going analysis.

This binational Task Force was created in 1995 to advise the Commission about current and emergent clinical and public health issues related to transboundary environmental health.

The Task Force will be holding its first public meeting in the Windsor area at the time and location listed below. Opening remarks will be provided by the Rt. Honourable Herb Gray and the Honorable Dennis Schornack, co-chairs of the International Joint Commission. Participants are requested to inform the Task Force Secretary, Mr. Jim Houston, of their intention to appear and to provide, if possible, text of their remarks by June 11th, 2004. Participants will be asked to keep their comments to 5-10 minutes in length.
