INTERNATIONAL JOINT COMMISSION
1999 GREAT LAKES WATER QUALITY FORUM
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN
SEPTEMBER 24-26, 1999
LIGHTLY EDITED, VERBATIM TRANSCRIPT
SATURDAY AFTERNOON, SEPTEMBER 25
PUBLIC HEARING
Clint King, Bear Clan of Anishinabe and Haudenoshone People
I'm from the original people of the land here. I'm also part English, French, and German. This
message that I just placed before you is a message from mother earth and the Creator. It is for all
people of the world to see this and hear it and hopefully see the truth in the message here. It is
very complex and very profound. Some people call this thing a crout circles but it's definitely
more than just circles. I've been travelling around the Great Lakes since September 8th to talk to
people about this. My elders and spiritual people like faith keepers to learn more about this and
there is a part in here about the Great Lakes water that you talk about in your Agreements and the
work you do.
It seems that the earth is very sick and there is a way to fix it, to make the earth healthy again.
We have gone beyond the ability of our own scientific technology to clean these things up. We
are trying our best, I understand that. I appreciate that, that there are people that do that, but it
has exceeded our abilities to handle. There is a way to clean it up and the earth is basically
telling us this is the path, this is the way, but along this way a lot of things are happening.
Environmental catastrophes will become more frequent and more severe, as we are seeing. There
will be more earthquakes than the ones we have seen and heard about. There will be a lot of
volcanos, a lot of air and water disturbances. It's like a domino effect. They will continue to
become more severe.
There is a clear message there for us and I know people are starting to know that in a scientific
way. But there is a way to lessen those impacts so that too many people don't perish in these
things. My role, part of my role is a messenger to deliver things to people. We are going to be
doing a water ceremony soon to clean the waters of the Great Lakes. We're in the process of
planning that out. You are not alone in your scientific technology. We'll be there to help out
with that. I don't know how soon that will be but soon enough. We'll get around to it and I
thought I should tell you that and, mewetch, thank you.
Commissioner Chamberlin
Thank you very much, Clint.
