  1. U.S. CONGRESSIONAL BRIEFING

    The Commissioners were briefed on the upcoming Congressional hearing. The testimony is set for January 23, 2008 at 10 am to noon. Draft text of the testimony will be provided to Commissioners will go out no later than Monday, January 14.

  2. GREAT LAKES URBAN HABITAT RESTORATION SYMPOSIUM (GLWQA)

    The Commissioners approved Commission co-sponsorship of the symposium that will be held in Chicago in early winter 2009 and the use of the Commission's logo for promotional and other material.

  3. ONTARIO GREAT LAKES RENEWAL FOUNDATION

    The Commissioners discussed and revised the draft letter to the federal and Ontario ministers of the environment recognizing the contributions of the Ontario Great Lakes Renewal Foundation.

  4. LAKE ONTARIO – ST. LAWRENCE RIVER (LOSLR)

    Commissioners received an oral update and agreed to the rescheduling of the meeting that will be held with officials from the U.S. Department of State and the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs from January 15, 2008 in Ottawa to January 23, 2008 in Washington, DC.

  5. OTHER BUSINESS

    Commissioners agreed to discuss the January 2008 report "Way Forward Strengthening Decision-Making and Accountability under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement" by Great Lakes United on January 23, 2008 in Washington, DC.
