BIENNIAL MEETING

  1. The Commission approved:
    1. the nomination of the Scientist of the Biennium;
    2. staff pursuing special recognition for a group effort, consulting with the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement Board co-chairs and providing a recommendation for Commission decision; and
    3. the IJC Biennial Meeting Planning Committee's recommendations for facilitators for the breakout sessions.

APPOINTMENTS

  1. The Commission approved:
    1. the reappointment of Mr. David Ullrich as a member of the U.S. Section of the Great Lakes Water Quality Board for a three-year term; and
    2. the appointment of Mr. Peter Williams as a member of the Canadian Section of the International Rainy Lake Board of Control for a three-year.

UPPER LAKES PLAN OF STUDY

  1. The Commission approved, in principle, subject to minor edits, the proposed directive, appointment of nominated co-chairs Dr. Paul Pilon and LTC Lauzon, and draft media release.

OTHER BUSINESS

  1. The Commission accepted the report of the International Red River Board.
