The Lake Superior Center is offering its fourth summer of teacher workshops. A June 20-23 kayak outing will be held for grade K-8 teachers in the St. Louis River; July 10-12 will be spent exploring Lake Superior and the creative arts, and from August 10-11 teachers get WET (Water Education for Teachers). The Lake Superior Alliance is holding its second meeting June 23-24, 1995 in Ontonagon, Michigan. Meeting participants will focus on organizing for the International Joint Commission's Biennial Meeting. The Alliance is a coalition of more than 30 citizen organizations focused on protecting, restoring and enhancing the Lake Superior basin. The Institute for Environmental Quality is offering a training course entitled Risk Assessment: The Process, Applications and Regulatory Issues from June 28-29, 1995 at the Wright State Univerisity campus in Dayton, Ohio. This course provides an understanding of what risk assessments are and how they fit into the Ohio regulatory scheme.

The Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement (EASI) is holding a Leadership Conference at the National 4-H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland from September 20-21, 1995. EASI's third intergenerational conference will help to bring seniors together to improve the environment and link experiences, education and resources.
