Purpose

The Workgroup is identifying emerging issues, defined as changes in environment and social dynamics that may impinge upon the Great Lakes basin ecosystem and influence the responsibilities of the International Joint Commission under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement (GLWQA).

  1. The goal of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement is to restore and maintain the chemical, physical and biological integrity of the waters of the Great Lakes basin ecosystem. Please state one new issue or understanding of an old issue that is the most likely to enable achievement of this goal. (Please use a separate survey form for additional issues.)
