Restrictions on Dredging Activities
* Metal concentrations in sediments do not exceed the PSQG-LEL, except where background concentrations exceed this level.
* Nutrient levels (phosphorus, nitrogen and carbon) in sediments do not exceed the PSQG-LEL, except where background concentrations exceed this level.
* PCB concentrations in sediments meet the PSQG-LEL.
Loss of Fish and Wildlife Habitat
* Include the wetland complex in the Official Plan for the municipality.
* Protect the wetland to the maximum extent possible under the Planning Act and existing Provincial and Federal programs.
* Wetland improvement tied to improvement in water quality (i.e. decrease in suspended solids and nutrients).
* On permission from surrounding landowners, proceed with the physical rehabilitation of the wetland.
* Habitat improvement tied to improvement in wildlife populations and species diversity.
