Biennial Updates
Since 2000, the Parties have been updating the International Joint Commission and the public with Biennial updates. The process of reporting biennially is required under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement; the effort is important to ensure progress towards reducing loadings of Critical Pollutants in order to restore beneficial uses is being tracked, monitored and reported on. Biennial reporting is intended to supplement Stage reporting.
