We have been "River" people since 1982. We have enjoyed fishing, boating, swimming, and the breathtaking scenery on the St. Lawrence river for many years. In the past, in the spring of the year, the water levels were high, and provided good spawning areas for the fish that inhabit the River. Today, we find that the numbers of fish caught have decreased dramatically, regardless of the species. We know that many factors contribute to the decrease; increased fishing pressure, and invasive species have certainly taken their toll.

However, we can remember when open waters were plentiful, and know they are being reclaimed by Nature because the water levels, and current velocities have decreased due to the limitation of water supply from Lake Ontario. This has had a major impact on the fish population in the River in recent years. It has also negatively impacted marinas, boaters, and the folks who have a vested interest in this once mighty river.

The Great Lakes Waterways of our Country have long been a source of envy to many, including our neighboring states. We must protect, and preserve our waters for all who will come after us, and make these areas as great as they once were before special interests took over our government! This includes those who have chosen to build along the Great Lakes that govern the flow of this River, and have tried to influence the "powers- that-be" to control the flow of the waters from the Great Lakes to The River to prevent errosion of their waterfront.

We stongly support Plan B+ . Lets get rid of the antiquated plan D!!!
