July 12, 2006 - Mr. Bill Lauman, Au Gres, Michigan

Ladies and Gentlemen; I have had an opportunity to view your report from your study and am deeply concerned that Lake Huron property owners are not being adequately consulted on lake level issues that directly effect us. Many of us were severely battered during the higher water levels of the mid 1980's when water levels of Lake Huron exceeded the long term averages. Many also lost homes on the lake or sustained damage both physical and psychological during storms at that period. Please, Please, Please, never allow water levels in Lake Huron to exceed the long term averages as outlined in the Army Corp of Engineeers monthly report on lake levels, and thereby protect our homes from damage from wave action. Thank you for your time.
