I am in favor of keeping the lake at their current levels or lowering. With everybody having a special interest, it would seem like the current levels are at least pacifying everyone. As a avid fisherman, I can assure you, the fishing is as good as ever (Muskellunge in the St. Lawrence is fantastic). Any fishery problems are not lake level related but Cormorant and invasive species related. Overall fishing is excellent. Seems like shoreline property owners should be given top priority to me since they have a vested interest living right on the lake and having to deal with water levels on a daily basis. The average boater may have to deal with water levels only 10 or less times per year. Theres alot of water out there for boating. If its not deep enough, you wont have to look far. Boaters have lots of water to boat on. I dont see any shortage of birds or wetland species either. What the envir! onmentalists should be concerned with are invasive species and pollution and not lake levels. I urge you to not rock the boat and leave lake levels well enough alone.
