IJC International Rainy Lake Board of Control

The International Rainy Lake Board of Control (IRLBC), created by the International Joint Commission (IJC), monitors and may at times direct the regulation (water levels and outflows) of Namakan and Rainy lakes. Regulation is carried out jointly by Boise Inc. in the United States and H20 Power LP in Canada in accordance with operating rules specified by the IJC.
